Make the love of the Lord your pen, and let your consciousness be the scribe. Then, seek the Guru's Instructions, and record these deliberations.
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ, ਰਚਨਹਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ। ਉਹ ਨਿਡਰ, ਕੀਨਾ-ਰਹਿਤ, ਅਜਨਮਾ ਤੇ ਸਵੈ-ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਯਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ।
ਪਰਾਰੰਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਚਾ, ਯੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਚਾ,
ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚਾ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਭੀ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਨਿਸਚਿਤ ਹੀ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਗਿਆਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪਿਆ ਕਰੇ।
ਭਾਵੇਂ ਬੰਦਾ ਚੁਪ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਰਹੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ।
ਖੁਧਿਆਵੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੁਧਿਆ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਜਹਾਨਾ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਡਾ ਦੇ ਢੇਰ ਹੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾਂ ਲਾ ਲੈਣ।
ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਅਕਲ-ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ, ਪਰ ਇਕ ਭੀ (ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁਚਾਉਂਦੀ) ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ।
ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਝੂਠ ਦਾ ਪੜਦਾ ਪਾੜਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਧੁਰ ਦੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਫੁਰਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਮੰਨਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ।

By thinking, He cannot be reduced to thought, even by thinking hundreds of thousands of times.
By remaining silent, inner silence is not obtained, even by remaining lovingly absorbed deep within.
The hunger of the hungry is not appeased, even by piling up loads of worldly goods.
Hundreds of thousands of clever tricks, but not even one of them will go along with you in the end.
So how can you become truthful? And how can the veil of illusion be torn away?
O Nanak, it is written that you shall obey the Hukam of His Command, and walk in the Way of His Will. ||1||

ਪਰਾਰੰਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਚਾ, ਯੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਚਾ,
ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚਾ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਭੀ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਨਿਸਚਿਤ ਹੀ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਗਿਆਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪਿਆ ਕਰੇ।
ਭਾਵੇਂ ਬੰਦਾ ਚੁਪ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਰਹੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ।
ਖੁਧਿਆਵੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੁਧਿਆ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਜਹਾਨਾ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਡਾ ਦੇ ਢੇਰ ਹੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾਂ ਲਾ ਲੈਣ।
ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਅਕਲ-ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ, ਪਰ ਇਕ ਭੀ (ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁਚਾਉਂਦੀ) ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ।
ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਝੂਠ ਦਾ ਪੜਦਾ ਪਾੜਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ। ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਉਪਾਸ਼ਨਾ।
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਸਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਪਲੇਟ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੂਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦ ਦੀਵੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੱਕਰਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਜਡੇ ਹੋਏ ਮੋਤੀ।
ਚੰਨਣ ਦੀ ਸੁਗੰਧਤ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੋਕ-ਸਾਮੱਗਰੀ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਹਵਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਬਨਾਸਪਤੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!
ਕੈਸੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ? ਇਹ ਤੈਂਡੀ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਡਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨਹਾਰ!
ਰੱਬੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ, ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਨਗਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਜਣਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਅੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹਜਾਰਾਂ ਹੀ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਰੂਪ, ਪਰ ਇਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਭੀ ਸਰੂਪ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੈਰ, ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਇਕ ਭੀ ਪੈਰ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਨੱਕ ਹਨ, ਤਦਯਪ ਤੂੰ ਨਾਸਕਾ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਹੈ। ਤੇਰਿਆਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਤਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫਰੇਫਤਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੂਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਆਤਮਾਵਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਨੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਈਸ਼ਵਰੀ ਨੂਰ ਜਾਹਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੁਛ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਸਲ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਕਮਲ ਰੂਪੀ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਖਿਓ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਮਾਇਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਰੈਣ ਦਿਹੁੰ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਤਿਹਾਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
ਪਪੀਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਦਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪਾਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਥੀ ਵੰਞੇ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!

In the bowl of the sky, the sun and moon are the lamps; the stars in the constellations are the pearls.
The fragrance of sandalwood is the incense, the wind is the fan, and all the vegetation are flowers in offering to You, O Luminous Lord. ||1||
What a beautiful lamp-lit worship service this is! O Destroyer of fear, this is Your Aartee, Your worship service.
The sound current of the Shabad is the sounding of the temple drums. ||1||Pause||
Thousands are Your eyes, and yet You have no eyes. Thousands are Your forms, and yet You have not even one form.
Thousands are Your lotus feet, and yet You have no feet. Without a nose, thousands are Your noses. I am enchanted with Your play! ||2||
The Divine Light is within everyone; You are that Light.
Yours is that Light which shines within everyone.
By the Guru's Teachings, this Divine Light is revealed.
That which pleases the Lord is the true worship service. ||3||
My soul is enticed by the honey-sweet lotus feet of the Lord; night and day, I thirst for them.

ਅਸਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਪਲੇਟ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੂਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦ ਦੀਵੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੱਕਰਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਜਡੇ ਹੋਏ ਮੋਤੀ।
ਚੰਨਣ ਦੀ ਸੁਗੰਧਤ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੋਕ-ਸਾਮੱਗਰੀ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਹਵਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਬਨਾਸਪਤੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!
ਕੈਸੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ? ਇਹ ਤੈਂਡੀ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਡਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨਹਾਰ!
ਰੱਬੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ, ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਨਗਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਜਣਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਅੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹਜਾਰਾਂ ਹੀ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਰੂਪ, ਪਰ ਇਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਭੀ ਸਰੂਪ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੈਰ, ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਇਕ ਭੀ ਪੈਰ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਨੱਕ ਹਨ, ਤਦਯਪ ਤੂੰ ਨਾਸਕਾ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਹੈ। ਤੇਰਿਆਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਤਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫਰੇਫਤਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੂਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਆਤਮਾਵਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਨੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਈਸ਼ਵਰੀ ਨੂਰ ਜਾਹਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੁਛ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਸਲ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਕਮਲ ਰੂਪੀ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਖਿਓ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਮਾਇਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਰੈਣ ਦਿਹੁੰ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਤਿਹਾਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
ਪਪੀਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਦਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪਾਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਥੀ ਵੰਞੇ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!

ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
ਕੇਵਲ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਜਾਣਿਆਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ ਸੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਝੂਠ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਨੂੰ ਧੋ ਕੇ ਸਾਫ ਸੁਥਰੀ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੇਵਲ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਜਾਣਿਆਂ ਜਾਂਣਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਦ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਵਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦ, ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੇਵਲ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਸੱਚਾ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਦੇਹਿ ਦੀ ਪੈਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾ ਸੁਆਰ ਕੇ, ਉਹ ਇਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਬੀਜ ਬੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੇਵਲ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਉਹ ਸੱਚੀ ਸਿਖਮਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ-ਧਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੁਝ ਖੈਰਾਤ ਵਜੋਂ ਭੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੇਵਲ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਜਾਣਿਆਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ-ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਹ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਿਖਮਤ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਜਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਬੈਠਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੱਚ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਦਵਾਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਸਮਲ (ਪਾਪ) ਨੂੰ ਧੋ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂਹਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਝੋਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ।

One knows the Truth only when the Truth is in his heart.
The filth of falsehood departs, and the body is washed clean.
One knows the Truth only when he bears love to the True Lord.
Hearing the Name, the mind is enraptured; then, he attains the gate of salvation.

Preparing the field of the body, he plants the Seed of the Creator.

Showing mercy to other beings, he makes donations to charities.

ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
ਕੇਵਲ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਜਾਣਿਆਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ ਸੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਝੂਠ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਨੂੰ ਧੋ ਕੇ ਸਾਫ ਸੁਥਰੀ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੇਵਲ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਜਾਣਿਆਂ ਜਾਂਣਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਦ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਵਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦ, ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਕੇਵਲ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਉਹ ਸੱਚੀ ਸਿਖਮਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ-ਧਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੁਝ ਖੈਰਾਤ ਵਜੋਂ ਭੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੇਵਲ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਜਾਣਿਆਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ-ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਰਾਗ ਆਸਾ, ਚਉਥੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ। ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ।
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬੇ-ਦਾਗ ਹੈ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ-ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ, ਸੋਚ ਸਮਝ ਤੋਂ ਉਚੇਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਸਾਨੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੈ, ਮਾਣਨੀਯ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੱਚੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ!
ਸਮੂਹ ਜੀਵ-ਜੰਤੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਧਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਹੇ ਸਾਧੂਓ! ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰੋ, ਜੋ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੁਖੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਹੀ ਟਹਿਲੂਆਂ। ਇਨਸਾਨ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਨਾਚੀਜ਼ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ।
ਤੂੰ ਹੇ ਪੂਜਯ ਤੇ ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਇਕਸੁ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਕ ਰਸ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਕਈ ਸਖ਼ੀ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਮੰਗਤੇ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਹਨ।
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਭੋਗਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਤੇਰੇ ਬਗ਼ੈਰ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ।
ਤੂੰ ਅਨੰਤ ਤੇ ਬੇ-ਓੜਕ ਸ਼ਰੋਮਣੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਹੈ। ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਵਡਿਆਈਆਂ, ਮੈਂ ਵਰਣਨ ਤੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਾਂ?
ਨਫ਼ਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਨੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੇ, ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ, ਤੇਰੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਤੇ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ! ਜੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਅਰਾਧਨ ਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਮੋਖ਼ਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬੰਦ ਖਲਾਸ ਹਨ ਉਹ, ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ! ਜੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਕੱਟੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਨਿੱਡਰ, ਨਿੱਡਰ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਈ ਹੈ, ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਈ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹਨ ਉਹ, ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹਨ ਉਹ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਨਫਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਤੇਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਅਨੰਤ ਤੇ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਪਰੀਪੂਰਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਿੰਨ ਭਿੰਨ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਗਿਣਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਧੂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਧੂ, ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਬਹੁਤ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਤੇਰੀ (ਜੀ ਹਾਂ) ਤੇਰੀ, ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਹੱਦ-ਬੰਨਾਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਉਹ ਤਪੱਸਿਆਂ ਸਾਧਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਤੇਰੇ ਘਣੇ ਤੇ ਕਈ ਬੰਦੇ ਬਹੁਤੀਆਂ ਸਿਮਰਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਾਚਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਕਰਮ-ਕਾਂਡ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਛੇ ਧਾਰਮਕ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੰਤ, ਉਹ ਸੰਤ, ਹੇ ਨਫ਼ਰ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਤੂੰ ਪਰਾਪੂਰਬਲੀ ਹਸਤੀ, ਪ੍ਰਮ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਟ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰ ਹੈ। ਤੇਰੇ ਜਿੱਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਯੁਗਾਂ ਯੁਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਇੰਨ ਬਿੰਨ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ। ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਐਨ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸਥਿਰ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਤੂੰ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਕੁਛ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹੋ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ, ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਾਰਾ ਆਲਮ ਰਚਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਜ ਕੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
ਗੋਲਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਨਣਹਾਰ ਹੈ।

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
That Primal Being is Immaculate and Pure. The Lord, the Primal Being, is Immaculate and Pure. The Lord is Inaccessible, Unreachable and Unrivalled.
All meditate, all meditate on You, Dear Lord, O True Creator Lord.
All living beings are Yours-You are the Giver of all souls.
Meditate on the Lord, O Saints; He is the Dispeller of all sorrow.
The Lord Himself is the Master, the Lord Himself is the Servant. O Nanak, the poor beings are wretched and miserable! ||1||
You are constant in each and every heart, and in all things. O Dear Lord, you are the One.
Some are givers, and some are beggars. This is all Your Wondrous Play.
You Yourself are the Giver, and You Yourself are the Enjoyer. I know no other than You.
You are the Supreme Lord God, Limitless and Infinite. What Virtues of Yours can I speak of and describe?
Unto those who serve You, unto those who serve You, Dear Lord, servant Nanak is a sacrifice. ||2||
Those who meditate on You, Lord, those who meditate on You-those humble beings dwell in peace in this world.
They are liberated, they are liberated-those who meditate on the Lord. For them, the noose of death is cut away.
Those who meditate on the Fearless One, on the Fearless Lord-all their fears are dispelled.
Those who serve, those who serve my Dear Lord, are absorbed into the Being of the Lord, Har, Har.
Blessed are they, blessed are they, who meditate on their Dear Lord. Servant Nanak is a sacrifice to them. ||3||
Devotion to You, devotion to You, is a treasure overflowing, infinite and beyond measure.
Your devotees, Your devotees praise You, Dear Lord, in many and various and countless ways.
For You, many, for You, so very many perform worship services, O Dear Infinite Lord; they practice disciplined meditation and chant endlessly.
For You, many, for You, so very many read the various Simritees and Shaastras. They perform rituals and religious rites.
Those devotees, those devotees are sublime, O servant Nanak, who are pleasing to my Dear Lord God. ||4||
You are the Primal Being, the Most Wonderful Creator. There is no other as Great as You.
Age after age, You are the One. Forever and ever, You are the One. You never change, O Creator Lord.
Everything happens according to Your Will. You Yourself accomplish all that occurs.
You Yourself created the entire universe, and having fashioned it, You Yourself shall destroy it all.
Servant Nanak sings the Glorious Praises of the Dear Creator, the Knower of all. ||5||1||

ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੈ, ਮਾਣਨੀਯ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੱਚੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ!
ਸਮੂਹ ਜੀਵ-ਜੰਤੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਧਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਹੇ ਸਾਧੂਓ! ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰੋ, ਜੋ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੁਖੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਹੀ ਟਹਿਲੂਆਂ। ਇਨਸਾਨ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਨਾਚੀਜ਼ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ।
ਤੂੰ ਹੇ ਪੂਜਯ ਤੇ ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਇਕਸੁ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਕ ਰਸ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਕਈ ਸਖ਼ੀ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਮੰਗਤੇ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਹਨ।
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਭੋਗਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਤੇਰੇ ਬਗ਼ੈਰ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ।
ਤੂੰ ਅਨੰਤ ਤੇ ਬੇ-ਓੜਕ ਸ਼ਰੋਮਣੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਹੈ। ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਵਡਿਆਈਆਂ, ਮੈਂ ਵਰਣਨ ਤੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਾਂ?
ਨਫ਼ਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਨੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੇ, ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ, ਤੇਰੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਤੇ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ! ਜੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਅਰਾਧਨ ਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਮੋਖ਼ਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬੰਦ ਖਲਾਸ ਹਨ ਉਹ, ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ! ਜੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਕੱਟੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਨਿੱਡਰ, ਨਿੱਡਰ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਈ ਹੈ, ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਈ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹਨ ਉਹ, ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹਨ ਉਹ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਨਫਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਤੇਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਅਨੰਤ ਤੇ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਪਰੀਪੂਰਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਿੰਨ ਭਿੰਨ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਗਿਣਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਧੂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਧੂ, ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਬਹੁਤ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਤੇਰੀ (ਜੀ ਹਾਂ) ਤੇਰੀ, ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਹੱਦ-ਬੰਨਾਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਉਹ ਤਪੱਸਿਆਂ ਸਾਧਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਤੇਰੇ ਘਣੇ ਤੇ ਕਈ ਬੰਦੇ ਬਹੁਤੀਆਂ ਸਿਮਰਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਾਚਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਕਰਮ-ਕਾਂਡ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਛੇ ਧਾਰਮਕ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੰਤ, ਉਹ ਸੰਤ, ਹੇ ਨਫ਼ਰ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਤੂੰ ਪਰਾਪੂਰਬਲੀ ਹਸਤੀ, ਪ੍ਰਮ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਟ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰ ਹੈ। ਤੇਰੇ ਜਿੱਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਯੁਗਾਂ ਯੁਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਇੰਨ ਬਿੰਨ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ। ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਐਨ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸਥਿਰ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਤੂੰ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਕੁਛ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹੋ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ, ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਾਰਾ ਆਲਮ ਰਚਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਜ ਕੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
ਗੋਲਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਨਣਹਾਰ ਹੈ।

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
That Primal Being is Immaculate and Pure. The Lord, the Primal Being, is Immaculate and Pure. The Lord is Inaccessible, Unreachable and Unrivalled.
All meditate, all meditate on You, Dear Lord, O True Creator Lord.
All living beings are Yours-You are the Giver of all souls.
Meditate on the Lord, O Saints; He is the Dispeller of all sorrow.
The Lord Himself is the Master, the Lord Himself is the Servant. O Nanak, the poor beings are wretched and miserable! ||1||
You are constant in each and every heart, and in all things. O Dear Lord, you are the One.
Some are givers, and some are beggars. This is all Your Wondrous Play.
You Yourself are the Giver, and You Yourself are the Enjoyer. I know no other than You.
You are the Supreme Lord God, Limitless and Infinite. What Virtues of Yours can I speak of and describe?
Unto those who serve You, unto those who serve You, Dear Lord, servant Nanak is a sacrifice. ||2||
Those who meditate on You, Lord, those who meditate on You-those humble beings dwell in peace in this world.
They are liberated, they are liberated-those who meditate on the Lord. For them, the noose of death is cut away.
Those who meditate on the Fearless One, on the Fearless Lord-all their fears are dispelled.
Those who serve, those who serve my Dear Lord, are absorbed into the Being of the Lord, Har, Har.
Blessed are they, blessed are they, who meditate on their Dear Lord. Servant Nanak is a sacrifice to them. ||3||
Devotion to You, devotion to You, is a treasure overflowing, infinite and beyond measure.
Your devotees, Your devotees praise You, Dear Lord, in many and various and countless ways.
For You, many, for You, so very many perform worship services, O Dear Infinite Lord; they practice disciplined meditation and chant endlessly.
For You, many, for You, so very many read the various Simritees and Shaastras. They perform rituals and religious rites.
Those devotees, those devotees are sublime, O servant Nanak, who are pleasing to my Dear Lord God. ||4||
You are the Primal Being, the Most Wonderful Creator. There is no other as Great as You.
Age after age, You are the One. Forever and ever, You are the One. You never change, O Creator Lord.
Everything happens according to Your Will. You Yourself accomplish all that occurs.
You Yourself created the entire universe, and having fashioned it, You Yourself shall destroy it all.
Servant Nanak sings the Glorious Praises of the Dear Creator, the Knower of all. ||5||1||
