We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, for any reason.
4. Photography and the Gallery — including of children
Gurudwara Gobind Dham is a public place of worship. Photographs and videos taken at our Kirtan Diwans, Gurpurabs, Langar seva and other public programs — which may include images of children attending with their families — are, in the ordinary course of a religious and community institution's activities, used in our public Gallery, social media and promotional material, without seeking individual consent for each photograph, consistent with how public religious gatherings are customarily documented in India.
If you or your child appear in a photograph on this website and would prefer it be removed, please contact us at gurudwaragobinddham1313@gmail.com with a link to the photo, and we will remove it promptly.
5. Who we share information with
We share the minimum necessary information with:
- Razorpay, our payment gateway, to process online donations and Seva payments.
- Sevadars and committee members directly involved in confirming your Seva, donation or volunteering.
We do not share your information with any other third party for marketing purposes.
6. Cookies and browser storage
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It stores a small amount of information in your own browser (not on our servers) purely to remember your language choice and colour theme preference between visits. This never leaves your device and is never used to identify or track you.
7. How long we keep your information
We retain booking, donation and volunteer records for as long as needed for accounting, tax and audit purposes, consistent with applicable law, and delete or anonymise records we no longer have a legitimate reason to keep.
8. Your rights
You may ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information, where we are not required by law to keep it; or
- withdraw any consent you previously gave (for example, to stop receiving WhatsApp updates).
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at gurudwaragobinddham1313@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No system is completely secure, but we review our practices regularly.
10. Children
Our booking, donation and volunteer forms are intended to be filled in by adults on behalf of their family. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through these forms.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our services or the law change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
